Handmade Fine Art Framing
Our handcrafted frames are designed to protect and enhance your artwork. With a range of styles and finishes, each frame is tailored to suit your piece, ensuring it stands out while preserving its integrity.
Our Framing Options
Tray Frames
Tray Frames (or float frames) are ideal for displaying mounted artwork like Dibond, Perspex, or stretched canvas prints. The artwork is mounted within the tray, with a subtle shadow gap around the edges, creating a floating effect.
Classic Frames
Our Classic Frames offer timeless elegance and gallery-quality presentation. Designed for fine art paper prints, these frames are available in hardwoods like oak, walnut, and ash, or in painted finishes for a modern edge.
Floating Box Frames
Floating Box Frames take the concept of a box frame further by mounting the print away from the backing board, creating a shadow and illusion of levitation within the frame.
Keyline Frames
Keyline Framing features a slim aluminium frame inner border (keyline) between the artwork and the outer frame. It enhances depth and definition, particularly for Perspex, Dibond, or Canvas prints. We use an ultra slim 5mm thick aluminium profile as standard which is available in 12 finishes.
Box Frames
Box Frames create space between the artwork and glazing, providing protection and dimension. Often used with fine art prints, they allow the piece to breathe visually, especially important for glossy or textured media.
Lightbox Frames
Our bespoke Fine Art Lightbox Frames use energy-efficient LEDs to backlight photographic prints mounted to light-diffusing acrylic. They’re particularly striking for high-impact imagery, museum displays, and installations.
Our Glazing Options
We work with a carefully curated selection of glazing options, balancing visual clarity, UV protection, weight and budget. Whether your priority is museum-grade protection or everyday durability, we’ll guide you to the best solution.
Choose From:
Standard Glass
Water White Float glass in 2mm and 3mm options, delivering bright, clear colour fidelity—ideal for general-purpose framing.

Optimum Museum Acrylic
Trusted by major institutions worldwide, this anti-reflective acrylic offers unparalleled clarity, UV filtering, and an abrasion-resistant, anti-static coating.
Anti-Reflective Glass (AR70)
Minimises reflections while enhancing visibility. A great choice for deep frames or artworks being viewed under direct light. Great for valuable reproduction artworks.
UV Acrylic
Lightweight and shatterproof, UV acrylic offers excellent clarity with added protection from light damage. Recommended for large pieces or where safety is a concern.
Perspex / Cast Acrylic
A versatile, high-strength alternative to glass. Particularly useful for large-scale frames or when weight and handling are a concern.
Frame Mouldings
At Arteum, we offer a refined selection of frame mouldings to suit every artwork and space. Whether you're looking for timeless elegance or a sleek contemporary look, our collection covers a wide spectrum—from classic natural woods to aluminium and pre-finished options. All our frames are made to order by our skilled team, ensuring precision and a flawless finish.
Natural Wood Frames
Crafted from premium hardwoods like oak, walnut and ash, our natural wood frames offer a warm, organic aesthetic. These are ideal for those seeking a minimal, earthy finish that allows the artwork to speak for itself.
Aluminium Frames
Lightweight, durable and crisp in design, our aluminium mouldings are often used for contemporary work, large-scale pieces, lightboxes, or Perspex-mounted prints. Available in a variety of finishes and profiles.
Pre-Finished Frames
We stock a broad range of pre-finished mouldings in various tones and textures, including satin, lacquered, veneer, and gilded finishes. Perfect for achieving a clean, consistent look without compromising on quality. We work with leading suppliers such as Centrado, Nielsen and Larson Juhl, and can source additional styles on request.
Frame Finishes
We offer an extensive choice of finishing techniques to ensure the final frame complements your artwork perfectly.
Hand Stained
Using traditional techniques, our team can hand-stain or hand-paint timber mouldings to match a specific tone, texture or palette. From natural waxes to rich, pigmented stains, these bespoke finishes bring a depth and individuality to your frame.
Special Finishes
From a pristine spray finish to a hand painted look using your favourite Farrow & Ball colour we can create almost anything you want. We even do ornamental detail finished such as Gold Leafing.
Hanging & Fixing Options
We provide a range of secure hanging solutions tailored to the size, weight and intended location of your framed work. From small domestic pieces to large-scale installations, we’ve got the right option for a clean and professional finish.
Sawtooth & Square Sawtooth Hangers
Simple and effective, especially for box frames and small works. Ideal for casual or changeable hanging environments.
Subframes & Split Batons
Recommended for works over 2sqm. These hidden supports offer extra strength and allow for clean, flush wall hanging—ideal for exhibitions and large-scale displays.
Spring-Lock Security Fittings
Used in public or high-traffic areas where theft prevention is a concern. A key is required to unlock the frame, providing discreet and secure mounting.
Heavy Duty L-Plates
For medium to large frames requiring additional structural support, these ensure a sturdy and durable installation.
Strap Hangers
An alternative to top plates, strap hangers are ideal for wide-format frames or artworks mounted on subframes.
D-Rings
Available in single or double-hole styles, these are ideal for smaller frames and traditional wall hanging with wire or hooks.
Mirror Plates
Used to screw frames directly to the wall. Best suited for fixed displays or high-traffic areas where movement is undesirable.
